> > > An exceptional patron : PEGGY BOUCHET (First Frenchwoman rowed accross the atlantic)

"what no woman had dared to undertake in 2000 years, she did it! ". Peggy Bouchet, a young woman until the end of her challenge !

The route formation, sporting and professional of Peggy is that of a winner who knew to build solid bases, general-purpose and opened on the environment current mondialist.

"It is not because the things are difficult that we do not dare, but because we do not dare that they are difficult". Of this quotation of Sénèque which defines her rather well, it makes its profession of faith of it.

In March 1998, it carries out its transatlantic project, 5 500 km rowing, 79 days of sea, the Canaries in the Antilles. Unfinished Victory, it makes shipwreck at one day of the arrival, May 29, 1998 in the Guadeloupe, the few 130 kilometers which it misses then are hardest but also the best, she swears herself to start again and finalize her exploit

Pioneer, it was "the First Woman to dare to row accross the Atlantic on her own, the First to show that a woman could carry out such a teat".

November 18, 1999, she sets out again from the Cape Vert, crossing and victorious arrival in Martinique on January 5, 2000.

It is filled with enthusiasm by passion and serious of the project Trans' Atlantica, that she agreed to accompany Thierry Dagues as a patron and to advise it throughout the realization of this project.

"It is convinced by formidable passion and the serious one of the statement of the project of Trans' Atlantica that spontaneously I agreed to be the patron for it. Thierry Dagues can count on my assistance, as well on the level of the preparation as on the choice of the material. To have been a pioneer in this crossing rowing on mu own of the Canaries to the West Indies, I know that qualities of Thierry Dagues: in terms of tenacity, of audacity and required in the human and material preparation are essential and determining to succeed in this adventure out of the commun run"

> > > An expert advisor : PATRICK LIHURT

Patrick is a rower... selected several times in France team to the handwheel of the boat eight senior, he decided to achieve its crossing in 1999 and carried out its preparation in a record time !

Patrick Lihurt prepared his project in greatest discretion. Only a few days before the departure, for the baptism of its boat, that the local press reveals information. Leaved without another goal to launch out a challenge to itself, Patrick Lihurt beat the record of Sydney Genders established in 1970 with 73 days and 8 hours by carrying out the crossing in 69 days.

Patrick Lihurt is the parent of the boat "the Moon of Sea". Today, he wishes to see its boat continuing to live by carrying out other crossings. It is in this logic that "the Moon of Sea" was availability of Thierry Dagues.

Patrick Lihurt brings his experiment and his consultings for the benefit of the project Trans' Atlantica.

> > > A technical coach : MARC GINISTY

Marc Ginisty : the reference

Marc Ginisty is the French ,or maybe the world, reference in terms of marine architecture of ocean rowing.

Five rowing boats left its building sites already crossed the Atlantic (sixth is in the course of construction). It should be said that its experiment of the sea is not limited to the preparation of some adventurous forwardings. Marc Ginisty is one of rare, to see the single one to cumulate great competences in the design and the construction of sailing ships of race and cruising like in the rowing field. Add to that a humour and a sympathy out-par and you have the luxury partner for your project...

Marc Ginisty Marine is not a shipyard like the others. After Brazil, Tahiti and San Francisco, MGM settled in Boran-on-Oise, opposite to the lock, at three days of the sea while descending the river. Marc Ginisty, the owner has drawn, built and sailed for more than 25 years: a capital experiment at the service of Trans' Atlantica.

The boat, "the Moon of Sea" was built in 1999 by Marc Ginisty on building site MGM. Today, its architect finds "the Moon of Sea" within the framework of the project Trans' Atlantica. He brings its consultings and experiments to the Vega building sites (manufacturer of rowing). The boat will be put in building site in Vega workshops in order to bring to him the "cure of youth" necessary to prepare it with its third crossing.

> > > A router : SEBASTIEN FABRE

"Mister weather". Sebastien will be the weather specialist.

Lecturer: Sebastien holds of many conferences on meteorology in Rhone-Alps area. He teach inter alia at the University Lyon I like has the National School of Ski and Alpinism.

Photographer of weather phenomenons : its pictures, published in specialized reviews are also presented during shows.

Forecaster: He moreover, carried out the forecasts weather for the world cups of para glider 2003 and 2004 like for the world Alpine skiing championship

If a rowing boat is not as fast and reagent as a sailing ship, the role of the router remains paramount. It will make it possible to Thierry Dagues as much as possible to avoid certain bad winds but also, and especially, to mentally prepare to undergo a weather sometimes not very lenient.

Sebastien will be the third eye of Thierry, the eye which further sees than the horizon. That which will make it possible to Thierry to optimize his crossing according to the conditions weather. The role of the router is not simple, each day, it must envisage time on the road of Thierry in order to prevent it of any danger. It is also him which will generally be in contact with him.
